Gospel is for you = Forgiven and Pardoned!
This is the Gospel: In the beginning when God created the world, man and everything, then everything was good, perfect and flawless. Man lived in a wonderful familiar fellowship with God the Creator. All creation, God and man were in full harmony and love with each other. However, a love relationship requires a free will. One day man abused their free will and rebelled against their Creator in what we call the Fall, man wanted in selfisness and pride to be her own god. Because of that she broke the spiritual fellowship between God and man. Sin, selfishness and evil invaded the human soul, the rest is history and not just the history books but also every newspaper today and every personal life shows sin and selfishness terrible consequences.
The Bible says: "It is written, there is none righteous, no, not one is sensible, no one is seeking God. All have departed, all have become corrupt. No, there is nobody who does good, not one. An open grave is their throat. They use their tongues for deceit. Poison is behind their lips. Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. They are fast to shed blood. Devastation and misery prevailing in their ways, and the way of peace they know not. They have no fear of God before their eyes".
We can only look at ourselves; Who has not lied, slandered, treated someone badly, been selfish, unloving and deceitful, malicious and even hateful?! God is Truth and Justice, He is the guarantor of what is morally right and goodness, He is Holy and there is no darkness in Him. God could have chosen to remove the evil man from the face of the earth permanently and just forgotten about her. But, God is also love, mercy and grace, and therefore He, the Creator, promised right from the start after the Fall to send a Savior, a deliverer who would set people free from their sins, yes, relieve them from the sinful nature which has now become a part of mans very being, and so bring man back to God. The Bible highlights and describes the way in which God himself through a Savior, Jesus Christ, comes to mankind. That this Savior, this Jesus is to be a link between you and the Creator, a way back to God. Jesus would deal with the sin-problem and its terrible consequences once and for all, so that every person could be forgiven for their sins and be reconciled with God.
We read about this in the Bible: ”Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open his mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter”.
You may ask, "Why do I have to be reconciled with God and get my sins forgiven? Can't I just be left in peace and take care of my own business?". The answer is that God is perfect in goodness, in holiness, in truth and justice, and therefore He can not just let the darkness and evil remain. As the Bible says, all people one day will stand before God and give account of their lives. It will be a gigantic court where every sin and transgression must be brought into light and be judged, even the motives behind our words and actions will be judged, God reads our hearts like an open book.
However, God's immense love and grace to you and me is that Jesus Christ, God Himself, took our sins on the Cross, Jesus suffered and died for your sins, He took the very punishment for your sins on Himself instead of you. It is, now as in a parable, as if you committed a very lot of serious crimes in society and you are standing in a court and sentenced to both tortured and killed for your crimes, however, then somebody steps forward and say "I take his punishment on me instead of him" and you go completely free...Jesus did this for you so that you can be set free and pardoned on the Day of Judgement. The word "Salvation" means ”to be saved", you will be saved from going forever lost to eternal punishment, and instead you go back into the family of God as a child of God, and you receive eternal life in Heaven.
Let us read the Bible: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". Jesus says: ”I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. And Jesus also says in the Bible "Repent and believe the gospel".
So, what will your Answer be? Will you continue in selfish pride, in the emptiness and futility that a life without God means, continue to cause yourself and others the suffering the consequences of sin constantly gives? And what will you say in the presence of Almighty God, the Creator, on that Day of Judgement when you stand before Him? That is if you have rejected Jesus Christ and His Salvation? Everything in a person's life and existence pales in comparison to the very Day and hour when you stand before God, it will then be either in total shame and horror or in total joy and peace ...It is your choise dear friend...If you choose to turn to God, to say farewell to sin, darkness and evil, and instead follow Jesus as your Lord and Savior and believe in His saving work on the Cross, then surely you will be Forgiven, Redeemed and Pardoned with everlasting life in Heaven. And besides, you get a wonderful spiritual fellowship with the living God, you become like the Bible says spiritually ”born again”, a child of God who have a familiar relationship with God, your Creator. Jesus very presence fills you with a lasting peace and joy that nothing can steal. And Jesus has promised to be with you always, to the end, He gives you God's power and ability to live as a child of God.
This Salvation can not be earned in any way, no good works or good living is enough. You can only receive this salvation by turning to God, confess your need for Jesus and His Salvation and then just believe, believe in Jesus and what He has done for you. Then, you as a spiritually born again disciple and follower of Jesus Christ, will live in obedience to His Word, the Bible. However, also this is God's grace because you do not follow and obey Jesus in your own power and ability but in God's power and ability, through the Holy Spirit who is the spiritual fellowship with God.
Jesus suffered and died for you because He loves you, as the Bible says: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in that Christ died in our place while we were yet sinners”. Jesus died and went to the grave with our sins, but on 3:rd day Jesus Rose from the dead, He lives forever and ever, and if you choose Jesus, He who is called the ”Prince of life” and the ”Bread of life”, you will certainly live now and forever in Heaven. However, the choice is yours, your free will determines how your life will become, and more importantly where you will spend eternity ...
Again, what is your Answer? I plead, choose Jesus Christ and His Salvation!
Here follows a common and biblically based prayer. If you seriously want to receive Jesus and His salvation, you can pray out loud this pray from your heart to God. This is only a suggestion on how to pray, but it is between you and God, go ahead and pray:
"God, I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, I believe that Jesus suffered and died for my sins, that he took my punishment in my place, and I believe that Jesus rose from the dead ...O Lord Jesus, come into my heart, I'm sorry that I have gone my own ways, forgive me of all my sins. I turn away from all sin and evil, and I follow you Jesus all my days. I leave my life in Your hands Lord Jesus. Thank You for the forgivness of my sins and for setting me free. Thank You for me beeing a child of God now, with everlasting life in Heaven. I also accept your Spirit, The Holy Spirit. Fill me with your peace and joy, with your presence, power and love, I pray in Jesus' name, Amen".
